It's been a while since I last did a Q&A, but I've had quite a few blogger award nominations recently so, as per, I've picked out a few of my favourite questions. There are a lot of blogging related questions in this one so if you're a blogger you might like this post! Thank you to the three bloggers featured in this post for nominating me for awards!
What are your favourite types of blog posts to read?
Whether I enjoy a blog post depends on the writer rather than the topic. If I like your personality and style of writing, then I'll usually enjoy reading all of your blog posts. I like all blog posts from travel, to reviews and outfit of the days, but as cringey as this sounds, the writer's personality has to shine through: without personality, blog posts can be so bland and dull to read.Which of your blog posts is your favourite?
My favourite published post currently is probably 'Fear Of Growing Up'. I never expected it to be one I would love so much, especially since it literally took me months to write because it's so different from any other post I've written. I think what made this post so special is reading all your views on the topic. There was so much engagement and interaction with my readers and I loved reading your thoughts and opinions.
Do you have a specific blogging inspiration?
Not sure if this counts as 'specific', but my inspiration is other bloggers. I get literally all of my inspiration from my friends and fellow bloggers. Whenever I read a post I like, I'll jot down the post idea or a similar one. It's this list of post ideas that I refer back to whenever I'm deciding on the following week's blog post!
If you could drop everything and travel somewhere now, where would you go?
I would probably go to Pakistan and get some work experience in one of the hospitals there... not a very exciting answer, sorry! I should hopefully be sending off my university application next month and work experience in a third world country would really make me stand out.
What goals do you have for your blog, short and long-term?
When I started blogging, I never really had goals. I honestly didn't think I would love it as much as I did. The fact that I'm still blogging years later has really surprised me! A goal I would quite like to reach though is 1k followers on Bloglovin'. I remember when I started blogging, the thought of 1k followers didn't even cross my mind and now, well... only 150(ish) followers to go!
What has been your best moment as a blogger?
A single moment?! Nahhh, I can't pick just one single moment. The best bit about blogging is 100% the blogging community and I really don't think I can't narrow it down to one conversation with one blogger haha. Late night chats with my blogging friends have got to be a fave of mine though.
What is one thing you could not live without? (no people or animals)
My phone. I can take photos with it, write blog posts on it and contact people, but then again does wifi count as a separate thing? And what about the charger?
What are the best and worst things about blogging?
I've already mentioned this, but the best thing about blogging is the community. Everyone is so supportive and I've made the most incredible friends that I hope I get to meet in real life one day. The worst thing is probably the fact that unfortunately, numbers do matter. No matter how much we try to deny it, brands like numbers and, as a result, bloggers do have to care about the numbers (even if it's just a teensy little bit).
What is one thing you take with you everywhere?
My phone. This post is making me sound like such a stereotypical teenager, but I'm a blogger! I need to be checking my social media! I would love to try going without my phone for a week though, just to see if I would be able to do it haha.
What do you do to help you relax?
Reading has always been one of my favourite ways to relax - I've been a bookworm ever since I can remember. Unfortunately, as of lately, I haven't been able to read as much as I would like to since sixth form has literally taken over my life and I spend nearly all of my free time blogging. Writing blog posts is also quite relaxing though.
What is your favourite, feel-good meal?
Anything with some form of carbs to be honest. I do love a potato pie with chips and gravy though... multiple forms of carbs in one meal? Yes please.
Describe yourself in three words?
Hard-working: If I want to do something, I will put 101% effort into it. I never do anything half-arsed. It's all or nothing.
Self-conscious: I have a habit of overthinking and because of it I'll always end up worrying about things that probably aren't true!
Bubbly: But only once you get to know me though. I'm really shy and quiet on the outside, but if we get on, after a few hours my bubbly side will come out.
